HTS Spares is a leading UK supplier of plant, machinery and access-equipment parts. They stock thousands of components for brands across construction, agriculture, access platforms and landscaping. Their online store supports fast, convenient ordering for engineers, maintenance teams and plant-hire businesses, while offline channels handle larger orders and technical enquiries.
Despite being a well-established and respected brand in their industry, HTS Spares faced challenges driving growth beyond their existing customer base. The campaign's budget was heavily focused on branded traffic, resulting in underperformance across new customer acquisition channels. With limited visibility into lead quality, customer value, and revenue attribution, HTS Spares lacked a clear understanding of how total revenue was distributed between new and returning customers, making it difficult to identify and scale true growth opportunities.
To improve the commercial impact of paid search, we focused on strengthening how HTS Spares appeared across high-intent audiences. This allowed us to better balance online purchases with trade-led enquiries making sure spend was directed where it would deliver the greatest return. Key parts of our strategy: • Rolling out our bespoke tracking system so we could see exactly which ads were driving leads, quotes, and sales both online and offline. • Separating brand and non-brand activity to protect branded demand and track new growth more accurately. • Targeting competitor traffic to reach customers actively comparing suppliers and searching alternative brands. • Prioritising higher-value traffic, focusing on trade buyers and commercial enquiries rather than low-value retail purchases. • Remarketing to warm audiences to re-engage users who showed interest but didn’t convert, helping to recover potential lost sales. Together, these changes helped HTS Spares capture stronger demand and improve overall ROI from their ad spend.
Paid search continued to be a major contributor to HTS Spares’ commercial performance, however with our bespoke tracking platform there was much more visibility and improvement on offline sales.
